I only listen to "Creed" and Green Day (one song >_>) from up there, so I'll shuffle my vote along to Green Day purely because of 'American Idiot', I dunno why but its a great song.

Ok Metallica rox,. it is one of the greatest bands ever and in any case the greatest rock/metal band ever (not only in my opinion also if you look at record sales and stuff like that), but other bands up there are also great. For example, you cannot say that Velvet Revolver sux, I don't know if any of you have heard there entire cd but it is quite brilliant, the old band of Guns 'n Roses with Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland, it is a great combination of a good band (fe Slash) and a great singer. Their cd is also quite good but it is only their first. And because of the fact that it is only their first album you can't compare them to a band like Metallica, to what should you compare it to, Kill em All or St. Anger. Just because of these reasons I will not vote for any band because the comparison is almost impossible to do!

metallica, i wish i wish that they stopped after the black album, then they couldve went out with a bang, yet they had to make st anger and ruin everything,

sum 41, didnt like em from the start, i feel they are solely resonsible for destroying mtvs perception of rock music, them or blink 182 i cant quite remember who came first, now 85% of what they call "rock" on mtv is that punk "ish" stuff, unless of course you watch headbangers ball, they surprise you on there sometimes

alter bridge? see above, i blame creed for nickelback and every other crybaby rock song thats ever been played on the radio

velvet revolver, .. hmm, tough decision here, im a huge fan of slash, but they had to pick out that dancing fairy to be thier front man, its a good thing he can sing alright else hed probabaly be working at a gas station, though the only song ive heard is sliver, the rest of thier album could completely suck, i dont really know

green day, gee i loved these guys, when i was 7 years old and i got my first cd player and my first cd, nimrod with it, being my only cd i didnt hear much else for quite awhile, when i started branching out into bands like slayer and the occasional megadeth my green day cd got thrown into the trash

overall though, id say my choice is a tie between velvet revolver and metallica, (old), but since i can only vote once it goes to metallica
