That gives me an idea, hey Lee how about this
add a cylinder around his limbs or sword, alpha it out and apply a flaming/cool shader to it :yes:

Nice model and skin gir.
But you shouldn´t have made a light render. A dark render with a very dark background would look much nicer for this character.
And btw, try to define the horns more. Try adding some structure to them, that would make the horns looking much more scary and realistic ^_^.
And about the sword... I don´t know if the smoothing groups are the problem or if it´s just to thick modeled, or if just the skin makes it looking that thick, but in the render the swords slice is looking too thick.
