No playable .exe file when installing beta 1.3

Heya guys,

I've just downloaded 1.3 beta but when installing, the beta has installed itself to steamapps\username\halflife\esf_openbeta. Inside there I can't find an exe file to actually run the game. I've done a search on the entire directory for *.exe and have only come up with 2 bot editors, skydriver.exe and an uninstaller.

Am I being an idiot? - Also Steam doesn't seem to pick up the game properly, it just opens up half-life.

Did you restart steam after you installed it?

Once you restart STEAM the game should appear in your STEAM games library. You can rightclick it there and select "Create desktop shortcut" that will create a shortcut on the desktop. Use that or directly the one in the games library to start up the game.

Just know that the Open Beta looks nothing like the latest videos/pictures.
