After playing Tenkaichi 2 and being some-what disappointed, I want to write an email or do something to get the attention of Atari that they have yet to fulfill the fans expectations.

This is what they should have in the next game:
- Have cut scenes just like they did in Budokai 1. They did an amazing job with everything. It felt like I was playing the show. I don't know why they didn't continue with this, they should have.

- Have beam struggles be like they were in Budokai 3. No timer at all, just pure rotating. I remember having some battles between my friends last quite a while, unlike Tenkaichi's struggles, which lasts 5 seconds or less.

- Keep the melee the same from Tenkaichi 2. So far, that has been the best I've played.

- More moves. Every character should be able to shoot out multi-blasts (Example is Energy Volley), a beam, an energy ball and a rush or two. Note that since every character would have these, the would cost less ki, do less damage and be some-what unique to each character. Max damage they could possibly do is one bar of health.

- More unique specials. Having one move thats unique to that character is cool in all, but seriously, they need to have more.

- Make sure that the Giant characters (Great Ape, Fat Janemba, etc.) are actually bigger then they are now. Those characters were HUGE and having them only 3 times bigger then a normal character is crap.

- Equipting items is crap. Did they ever add a move or equip something that increased there speed by +2? They should allow you to train or fight to gain experience and increase your powerlevels, like they did in the show. They did a similar thing in Budokai 3, which was awesome.

If anyone else would like to help out, please do. Input is a must to insure that we have the best game possible next time. And remember that we won't have much limitation on the next gen systems.

I want there to no longer be a limit on how long you can chain a combo.

I want Rushes to be more easily defended against. They're practically invincible now.

I want giant characters to be less cheap.

I want it to be easier to block against rush-type-combo chains. I can hardly ever seem to get a block in against someone who's chaining against me, but that might just be me.

I want them to get rid of the ****ing Dragon Rush limit.

I want teleporting to be more free, allowing you to teleport more easily at less Ki cost. Dodging using teleporting is still pretty tricky, too.

AND I ****ING WANT THEM TO FIX CELL'S ****ING VOICE ALREADY.

I forgot to add something in as well. They should include the dodging they had for Budokai 3. You could dodge some attacks then teleport behind them.

I want them to stop giving each character the same number of moves
(Cause then you have characters with cheap re-used moves and characters with cool moves missing)

I want a few extra combos per character

and I want longer and crazier what if stories

DAMN, i always told you guys its an dissapointment on alot of parts, but you didnt belived me!but that doesnt matter now...

so here are the things i want have to be changed.

change the ki-balls into a effective attack!they are just now there to annoy and spam, they dont make enough damage.and i woud like to see some big explosions like in ESF just a bit nicer and alot of smoke, for the feeling of the show. (we have the hardware for this now!)

well i wish for BIGGER arenas! like atleast 10x as big as now!because knocking the enemy on a flashy blue wall is kinda dumb and destroys the feeling of the game.(have the hardware for this now!)

actually i would like to have the japanise original music in the european version.
but thats not so important, the music now is pretty good compared to budokai 1-3 and tenkaichi 1?s .

the option to deactivate the hit sparks, they destroy the feeling of the anime atleast for me.
changing the charge and overall FX to something more dbz style, they look like crap and again destroy the feeling of the game/show.

and something really important for me now!
i want to get the feeling of getting more powerful!
i mean if im playing as ssj3 i still feel like im playing a guy with a powerlevel of 1000!
where are the cracks, the stones and craters when i charge?
im a goddamn ssj3 the strongest badass in the whole universe!so where has my powerful looking gone?
and the ability to just blow away low level enemys.(we have the hardware for all this cool crap now!)

alot more customes!

the ability to fight multiple enemys at once like alot of freezas henchmen.the tag mode was a nice try but still kinda dumb.

and something i really would like to see, all ssj forms for every playable sayajin,if youre high leveled enough.i mean if it should become the ultimate dbz game it should have a complete character form list.even if it hasnt appeared in manga/anime ;)

if you ask me they could put out characters like jaychirobi, tapion(they have never fought,so we cant say anything about their powerlevel and attacks, there is no need for tehm then tough).
its annoying to see atari give them some stupid invented attacks.
they could put out kid goku, muten roshi and tao pai pai, the game is focused on the dbz fighting system, there is no use for this weak characters then, its just dumb to see them fighting without the ability to fly etc.....

doesnt the dragonball voice actors get sick of acting dragonball games again and again and again and again and.... ?

Tenkaichi 2 wasn't a dissapointment o_O

Eh, only big thing I would want...

VAST stages. City, for example. Have people and/or cars going about and hell, have the stage stretch out to the city limits if possible. And the skybox need to be RAISED. I would love to be able to fight in the sky, and I mean SKY, not just above the buldings.

More free-formed moves. I still sometimes feel locked in place. If the fighting had more freedom to it (I want to compare the freedom to "Spiderman 2", but work with me).

Better environmental damage. You get chucked through a bulding? It doesn't fall over (yet), you go through it leaving a hole.

More Powerstruggles. Beams against balls, hell maybe even shields (laser being only to struggle with a laser is kinda a good idea that Tenakichi 2 had).

Physics. I know we can fly and everything, but gravity sometimes makes comboing feel so satisfying. Ragdoll motion could probably work to an extent. And to get chucked into a bulding and see a bunch of rubble being shot out and STILL be on the ground would be nice. And to power up nead the rubble and have it float would be crazy.

If anyone has played the Superman demo/seen videos for the one for on 360, an environment like that for DBZ would be perfect.

All I'm going to say is that needs to be a DBZ game on the PC made by a real development company, not a mod (no offense to ESF, we all know it's awesome). It needs to not be a fighting game, it should be either third person or first person. As for actaul game mechanics, i'm not sure, but it's a start.

i think the tranformations in TB2 was too weak for example ssj3 goku do you see anywhere goku transforming in ssj3 like it was peace of cake???? or when goku transform in ssj4 ... i think trans need to be more dramatic or somethink like this for example like in esf , there are good enought trans ... someone can say but this is too long to wait when the player trans , this trans must be too long only some seconds but what i want say they can make trans like video :D like from anime for example( but in new grafic :)).

But there is one thing what is bothering me ... play anyone game on gbc DBZ: legendary super warriors??? if someone play this game can say its sooo good game but i think they can make game like this game on gbc . when you will be picking card or somethink like this and after you will choose your choise will be play vids with this attacks or beams attack what you choose .... maybe some will dont understand but who played DBZ: legendary super warriors will know what i am talking about.

They need to take Super Dragoball Z, add more characters/trans, and add the scale/free fightingness of tenkaichi. Would be an absolute god send.

I thought tenkaichi was good.... but it was a disappointment, took me all of 2 to 3 days playing it on and off to master it, its all routines, once you know the sequences its a piece of piss. Took me about a month (of quite hardcore) playing to sorta master Super dragonball Z, thats because depending on how you modify the characters, and how you play the game, the opponent you're fighting, meant you have the freedom of creating your own combo's, there are a few limits, but if you know how there's so many possibilities in that game its amazing. Plus every character did play a hell of lot differently, I mean yeah tenkaichi does too... but its like "oh he's missing this move... I'll just use this instead". Tenkaichi 2's melee is worse than the first one imo (though I think this because none of my friends can actually compete with me in 2 atm) because even though there are all these new things to do, you dont really need to do any of them, you can completely ignore the triangle button if you really want to and kick just as much ass.

So, to round it up, all I want is something like Super Dragonball Z, an actual game where it takes time to aquire skill, and different characters with more freedom and customisation.

Really, tell them to also make it for pc platforms, online multiplayer... and if at all possible, give it a 1st/3rd person shooter gameplay style a lot like esf's. Imagine if they took esf's gameplay and gave it the graphics, vast interactive maps and single player mode of budokai. Id be interested to see if they would consider it.

They need more What-If stories.
They need more and larger stages.
They need more characters and moves per character.
They need 8 player mode, where 4 players can play Tag Team etc.
They need an online mode.
They need more music.
They need to expand the story mode.
They need more in-game modes, similar to the modes of Budokai 3.
They need to allow 2 players in practice mode.
They need to fix Perfect and Semi Perfect Cell's voice.
They need every costume worn by a character.
They need more interesting transformation scenes.
They need to make an arcade mode.
They need to make a survival mode.
They need to make the transformation strength increase more realistic.
They need more combos.

I want to see craters when the computer or myself slam each other into the ground I want crater holes like in the show, if I don't kick the computer hard enough they get cratered in the mountain and if you power up you can just smash the little mountain. Also I want the entire map to be destructible. I hate slamming the comp against a solid mountain and he just bounces off of it and falls to the ground.

ONLINE MULTI PLAYER!!!
This is a must I'm sorry but this game has gone too far being only single player. Especially with the tag team now it would be so great online. This is the fifth installment to the budokai and theres no excuse why they can't and if they design one for the ps3 then they will have no reason not to add none of these features because if they use the blue ray discs which hold an obscene amount of space on it they can add all these features and then some.

These are the things I think should be in the 3rd Tenkaichi:

1. More maps. Reason: There aren't enough maps as it is.

2. Better cut-scenes. Reason: The cut-scenes are just stupid in Tenkaichi 1 and 2. The sounds they use when they hit the opponent are usually stupid sounding, the stuff they do is usually stupid, it just gives you no reason to watch them.

3. Make it balanced. Reason: Tenkaichi 2 just isn't balanced at all. The game has over 100 characters, over half of them suck. If you play a battle using, say Krillin against Piccolo, Krillin does almost no damage to Piccolo, while Piccolo has an extra health bar, and can take out one of Krillin's health bars in a combo. See, that's what I liked about Budokai 3. Everyone's punches and kicks all did damage in the same range, no matter what character you were fighting another character with. It didn't matter if it was Saibaman against Gogeta. Same for the beams, they didn't do health bars of damage, unless it was an Ultimate Attack. They need to make the 3rd Tenkaichi, to where everyone's punches and kicks do in the same damage range, instead of one character doing way more than the other, just because they were stronger in the show. That's what beams shoud do. If anything has to be un-balanced, make the beams un-balanced, but when you make the punching and kicking un-balanced between characters, that just takes away the purpose of using a character you like in multiplayer, if he wasn't good in the show.

4. Allow an option in multiplayer, to where you can set how many health bars you get, like in Budokai 3. Reason: Everyone's default should be three health bars to start out with. I think it was very stupid in Tenkaichi 2, how some characters had five healths bars, while others had two or three. I think in the next Tenkaichi, they should just do what they did in Budokai 3, and let you set the number of health bars you will have in battle, to make the game more fair in multiplayer, so your friends can't say "You only won cause you had more health than me" when you beat them.

These are the things I would like to see in the 3rd Tenkaichi, and their reasons, so it will be a more balanced, and overall fun game.

P.S.: I copied and pasted this post of mine, from this website: http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/index.php. In the Tenkaichi 2 forum section, there is a stickied thread for suggestions for the next Tenkaichi game. You should tell those people what you think should be in the next game, because Atari employees are moderators at that website, and they'll see your post, and that could get your ideas heard, to the people who produce the games.

I dont understand why everyone is picking up on all the trivial things. I thought the melee system is way too shallow in tenkaichi 2, It's top of the list of changes imo.

Though I do agree with Mccdbz5 it'd be better to have the characters so you can fight on equal terms =/

Just thought I'd let you know Atari will send you an email saying they won't read your email full of suggestions because of legal reasons and such. They don't want to get sued by anyone for "stealing" ideas sent to them.

KidBoy's looking in the right direction with this, although I suggest they strip what they have and start fresh. I wrote my suggestions, like 50 pages of them, but I never sent them to Spike. I've realized they're probably not interested in a "fan's" ideas, and instead what's easier for them and what'll get them some cash. But I could be wrong, they've already pumped out 5 or so games. *shrug*
