i think some charecters should have an attack where they scream with anger and release lots of energy in a bubble like what happens in most dbz episodes when a new villian starts to loose and releases his true power

what do you think?

It should looks nice if all attacks have a shock wave or some special FX with it, but notice the fps. I think low fps + special fx wouldn't work.

ex for usefulness: swoop at a person, then use the kiblob thingy (get a name for it) and stick them to a wall or something. result: you are hurting some1 and he cant avoid it!

So what would stop people from just flying away from you and shooting you until you moved?

Well, following that line of thinking... what would stop people from just dodging your beams and shooting you until your beam stopped or you blew it up? It's not the attack you use, it's how you use it. Any attack has its weakness and its strength depending on the situation. I could make up hypothetical "what would stop people from"s for every attack currently implemented in the game. That's what makes the game interesting in the first place... but also, there are plenty of times this attack could be useful. Often, melee engagements break off at short-range, but not quite close enough to start another melee attack. I don't know if it'll be the same with the 1.2 melee system. But still, this attack idea actually seems to have some merit. It's not directed to a specific character (aka Vegeta's Final Shine thingie) and thus shouldn't unbalance anyone in particular. I always thought ESF could use a few more non character specific attacks, and this one is pretty good in my opinion. Most ki attacks seem to be best at long range, so having one that might have some effect in closer range combat isn't such a bad idea.
