Has anyone played this game? I started playing it again, the single player campaign is pretty fun. My first character was a monk(if you like hand-to-hand combat, choose that class). Now i'm playing a barbarian, the game is... dare i say it?..... 1337.

What a coincedence... I re-discovered this game recently too :p

I'm gonna try to combine Fighter with Sorcerer, I think that's gonna be a cool combo if it works out.

I already have 2 characters with those classes, but they're getting kinda dull, that's why I wanna combine 'em now

I have an 11 Rogue\4 Fighter male elf. I think its an ok game, I liked Baldurs Gate 1 better though, only because after you got out of Candlekeep you were free to explore where ever you wanted. You were not limited by a linear path by going through chapters. All in all its a fun game. I liked wandering around in the forests and caves the best.

Great game, a bit more everquest-style than the previous BW games. They geared it for combat, and reaching high levels. Best bet is to find a good online server, with heavy roleplay.
The single player campaign was good, but a bit lacking. I never finished it myself, it became kind of dull. Was similar to BG2 : Throne of Bhaal in that respect, although it was worse in NWN.

out of he infinate engine games....(BG I, BGI ; TOTSC, BG II BG II;TOB ,Ps;T ,IWD ,IWD ; HOW, IWD II)

Planescape is the best out of them,NWM made me sick i waited five years for it and what did i get?...icewind dale with fancy grafics......not what i wanted..that being BG III....but oh well...

P.s its not a *bad* game....but it trys to be a Good Rpg...which its not..it more like a hack and slash with a bit of liner text and very little fredom throw in,

mind you the muliplay is fun(Only the krynn sever..ie Dragon lance thingie)

single player was a dissappoint ment for a old school hardcore D&D'er...and yes i play the 2 bit orignal....thats fun....and so's pools of radiese(SP)

also my char in every BG/IWN/NWN game has been Redsilver the gnome Wizard....he really PWNZ all jOO....no he does.....even elminster..and edwin....

If you want heavy duty RP like planescape had, albeit with a bit of rules to stop metagamers/cheaters, check out alandfaraway.net (alfa). It and krynn are the only two servers I've found that were redeemable in roleplaying aspects.
ALFA is trying to be a recreation of the forgotten realms, not there yet, but it's good fun.

NWN is fun, but very easy - I have a level 20 Monk, level 20 Fighter, level 20 Wizard and level 20 Barbarian. All of whom are completely unstoppable - takes about ten minutes to finish Act IV, minus the loading time. I won the game the day I bought it, which was disappointing.

If you want a challenging game, Wizardry 8 is the best RPG I've ever played. And it doesn't seem to have got the attention it deserves, either...
