Ok i just bought a brand new DVD player that comes with all the trimmings...

my debate is wether to hook an optical cable to my home theater or just hook it in by coaxial.

now i know very little if anything about optical but hear it's a superior way to go for awsome sound quality..

i'm looking for the best sound for this..

can you guys help me out which is better Coaxial or Optical and why..

i tried looking on google and it's all nerds who hook them into there ps2's

i want this so poeple can come over and check out surround sound at it's best

thanks!

Not sure if this is what you mean but, the S-Video is better for video rather than using the yellow cable

Optical is better. It allows for clearer sound.
