Need Help Remembering a Game...

There was this old game for the Sega Genesis I think (PERHAPS Super Nintendo, but pretty sure it was Sega). You played as a small elephant who had escaped from his cage and met more animals that would sit on his back and would aid him in obstacles...

Like, if you found the rabbit that could jump extremely high, like to get past tree obstacles..Then their was a beaver who would assist with water obstacles and stuff like that..

Anybody know what I am talking about?
