My unjoinable servers..

I have a router so people cant connect to my games.. I got the right IP from www.whatismyip.com and people just cant connect. Not much of a comp expert, anyone know what the problem is?

Ya know what, i think i can answer this question. If you have Windows 2k all you have to do is set your computer to the main/master and i think that should do it. I can make servers that people can join and thats what i think i did.

If you have arouter or firewall, people most likely wont be able to join your games, its as simple as that, you'll have to settle for joining other games. You can always turn the firewall off, but i wouldnt advise it.

There is a way to make all the computers be able to make servers (with any game) that people can join. I know someone who knows how to do it, but the one of the computers is likely to suck up all the bandwith and crash alot. I used to do that, but as soon as i realized why my comp was crashing, i disabled it. I dont remember how, but i'm sure what Goku SSJ said is alot easier and there's less hassle.

Yes, you can open and close ports, io obviously dont know how to do it, but if you know what you're doing, knock yourself out man.
