Well, for the past few months, i've slowly been updating my pc. I've gone from

660mhz
128 sdr Ram
TNT Pro Video Card
Windows 98
Pentium 3

to

1.6 ghz
512 ddr Ram
Geforce 4 Mx 420 64mb Sdr Ram
Windows Xp Pro Plus
AMX 1800 or something like that

Well, hopefully il be getting a 128mb ddr ram Radeon Pro Video Card today. Just wondered if this will give a nice boost in peformance, since i've heard the Geforce 4 mx 420 is just a Geforce 2 in disguise o_o

Thanks

All of the 4 MXs use the GeForce 2 core, so saying its a disguise would be correct. And there is absolutly NO DOUBT that you will notice a huge performance boost in most everything you do. Your system is nearly identical to mine now.
SO go ahead and get that Radeon, some Geforce FX might give you more bang for your buck but if its the Radeon you want then go for it. Nice upgrade, hope things run smoothly for you.

Thanks, thats really good to hear, thanks for replying. I needed a video card to just round things off, and i think this is a fairly decent one to do it with

lol, sure did. I only earn £10.50 per week and all of it together (including the video card i am getting) cost about £510.
But with the new video card i'm sure all of it will be worth the wait
