I made a little mushroom background... stock wasnt drawn by me but Im pretty darn sure the site I got it from cant be linked too, so unless I can link to a massive information center about shrooms, I wont link to it. Im aware this is very simple, thats exactly what I was going for. Anywho, heres the bg (used thumbnail feature since its for 1280 x 1024 desktops):

The mushroom in the back looks very low quality, I'll assume it's because you stretched it (You can also see some jpeg compression junk) And, it's not really a good idea to make backgrounds left oriented, since most people's icons go there, but in the end it really comes down to what you want it to look like.
