Multiplayer help

when i attempt to join a game online i get the following message before the game crashes:

could not load library c:\Sierra\Half-Life\esf\cl_dlls\client.dll

can anyone tell me what this means and how to rectify it?

i don't know... try reinstalling half-life and esf
