Heh, well for some reason today, my mouse decided to become retarded, right in the middle of a game of starcraft! For some reason 80% of the time I click now, it's a double click, making it extremely annoying to do anything. It has nothing to do with the settings in the control panel for the mouse, I've been messing with those since this problem occured and everything is fine in the control panel. This isn't a consistant problem so it has nothing to do with any settings. It might just be my mouse breaking, but does anyone know of a program that can tweak/fix it? I'm probably going to end up having to buy another mouse, but I'd like to delay that.

No, it's not a cordless, but false alarm anyway, it seems to be working fine now. I don't know what happened but it was messed up all day yesterday

This happened to me the first with the first optical mouse I got. It was a cheap one, only about 15 dollars, and sometimes when I would click it would double click just like yours was.
If it happens again, and you can't make it stop, just get a new one I guess, that's what I did.

Sometimes your mouse drivers get corrupted up for one reason or another (Just like all of your drivers). Usually restarting will fix any superficial problems. If that doesn't work, downloading new drivers for your mouse wouldn't hurt.
