ok i started making a model of raziel from Lok: soul reaver.
initially it was going to be for esf, i was going to make his vampire form too so he could transform... anyway, the polycount is getting kinda high, and i know halflife can still handle it, but ive had the cool idea of putting the model into jedi academy, and modeling him the soul reaver blade.
so, crit please...would be very grateful, it probaly will go into esf if there is enough need/want for it.

it looks ok i guess, how about posting pictures of the actual character, and also it would be alot easier to crit posting a flatshaded pic with edged faces, but it looks pretty good

The proportions are quite off, you've modelled him as a very stumpy person. Also you have hundreds of wasted polygons on there.

I think that the cape around his mouth can be shrunk just a bit, it seems to stick out a bit too much on his back, kind of like a trenchcoat-ish kind of effect. That's all I can really notice, hope that helps!

um....ok he is a little deformed. his head is to wide from the front and the side.legs are to short and skiny and his hands are supposed to be big and have extra stuff on them. its a nice start though.

from looking at the referance pic i would agree, but in game (im playing defiance atm) he does have very skinny legs and arms...

ok i resized the head and hands...it looks a little more in proportion now, i also (had to) added some folds to his cloak

Cool... I'd love to see this guy in ESF.

Looks good so far... but I'm worrying about the polycount. I hope it's not too much for Half-Life.

his belly(spine) should be longer, and his forearms should be a little bit skinnier. Good progress though.

hmm yeah i get what you mean about his abdomen (i think thats where you mean :p) but his forearms are staying like that for the bandage thingies he wears
