Nah, with the community that Valve have around Team Fortress 2, I think it'd be a bad idea to switch. What would they even change? They can't change anything that wouldn't be suitable in an update to TF2.

Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, and Banjo Tooie never got true sequels.(**** Nuts n' Bolts) Half Life 2 hasn't gotten a sequel nor has anything Megaman.

Trust me, if the games you mentioned were really profitable, they'd have their sequels. Also, Half-Life 2 does have sequels. Two of them infact, with the third being confirmed in development by the devs. And Megaman had a whole bunch of sequels, what the heck are you on about willis.

I guess HL2: Episodes 1 and 2 don't exist. And I guess Megaman 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, X8, Legends 2, Battle Network 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Zero 2, 3, 4, and Star Force 2, 3, and 4 all don't count.

Nothing has come out of the Banjo series since Nuts N' Bolts (which ******* sucked.) Megaman hasn't had a sequel to any of it's series recently. Half-Life 2 Episode 2 came out in 07'. I don't think anyone understood what I was saying which may be my fault. The fact is that all of those series haven't had a recent sequel all though they were highly rated and sold quite well.

What? They haven't had a recent sequel, because there isn't a 'Make a Game!' button down at the studio that the guys just mash all day. It comes down to hard work, finding and squashing bugs, unexpected dilemmas, in or out of the coding department, etc. Megaman had Street Fighter X Mega Man. Came out late December. I don't know if you count that, but it still had a sequel.

Half Life 2 Episode 2 coming out in '07 doesn't prove anything. We all know that Half Life 3 is in development. Valve would literally make millions from that game on the first week of sales. It's just taking time.

And now you're discriminating against whether a game was 'good'. First of all, that's a subjective thing. You can't use that in factual or predictive data like that. I agree, Banjo Tooie: Nuts N' Bolts was awful.

Not to mention that a lot of those companies have equivalently crashed by now.

For the Megaman thing, let me just mention that the games were great, and by the time that the company would have made another game, they were making some pretty not-so-good ones. They probably noticed this, and didn't want to make a bad Megaman game, so they put it off, until later.
