Ive always had problems with my mother, one of the recurring things is that i NEVER get her anything for her birthday, cuz well im always broke near the end of the year because of christmas, but this year i was saving up for a xbox 360 so i had a surplus of extra money when it rolled around.
years back we had a dachshaund, or however its spelled. a more common word is 'weiner dog", and this dog was never more than 2 feet away from her until the day it died.
shes always wanted another one, and every holiday involving presents she is always hinting that she wants a new one, but nobody has stepped up to pay for a purebreed dog for her, instead buying her cheap presents from the local grocery store =/.
this year though, i wanted to do something special. I was at a local flea market, and they literally had a dog ON SALE. marked down from 250$ to 100$ because it had a broken tail that they didnt let set correctly, so in essence it was "damaged goods", but i knew my mom wouldnt care so long as it was a weiner dog.
when i brought it to her house, she nearly cried when she saw it, she didnt even realize it was hers yet, but when i told her "hapy birthday" and handed her the dog, threw about 14 million "i love yous" my direction and gave me a huge hug, it made me feel pretty good.
sadly, the dog hates her >_>, but im sure he's gonna grow out of that pretty soon.
i effectively destroyed everyone elses birthday present for her lol, my stepdad was a little ticked, He bought her a new television and thought he won the "top gift" award this year, nothing can defeat the awesomeness of a weiner dog puppy though.
we havent named it yet and i was wondering if you guys had any idea, which is the primary reason i made this thread (that and boredom)
we kinda have a family tradition of naming the pets alphabetically, we are up to G since we started that rule. But we cant think of anything =/
