Kaioken

Seeing as I don't watch DBZ, I was wondering if somebody could explain excatly what the Kaioken is. Is iot actually an attack, or just somehting that raises Goku's PL, but obsolete once he attains SSJ?

It's not an attack, it's an ability that Goku can use to multiply his base power. Once he goes SSJ though, he never uses it until his fight with Pikkon. There he yells "Super Kaioken" and powers up. But that's all it really is, is just another power up.
