Infinite Undiscovery for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Starts out slow, is probably one of my favorite JRPGs.

God, yes, how could I forget to mention Dark Cloud at all. Dark Cloud 1 was pretty decent, 2 was absolutely amazing.

is dark cloud 1 connected to 2 (so i need to play both to get the full experience)

And I dont care about gameplay, when you say "2 was absolutley amazing" you mean storywise or gameplay wise

The two are incredibly loosely connected, only basically that they're in the same universe (there's like a time skip between the two). Dark Cloud 2's story, soundtrack, everything is simply fantastic.
