Install Help

Hey ive downloaded and went into the installer and click the boxes It says the space required is 286.6MB and ive got enought space to hold it (147GB) it just wont let me click the install button If ive Bought a legit copy of HL from steam store and this game looks soooo badass I really wanan play so Please help me

Have you set the directory of it to your HL file? it's usually located at Steam/Steamapps/yoursteamidn/halflife if I recall.

Start Half Life and play the tutorial level. You dont need to finish, just load it up and walk round for a few seconds and exit. You should be able to install after that.

then set that for your ESF directory and it should let you install from there.

oh and make sure you've loaded up Half-Life atleast once. do the tutorial level that's all that's needed

That to. Your new HL location should be Its set to c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\half-life

Once you have installed half life 1 you have to run the game till you get to the title page then quit! after that you can install esf to that exact directory, i have NO idea what you guys are talking about i didn't have to do any tutorial levels lol.
