Hi,
I'm running from the windows 2000 professional with service pack 4 system and have come upon a problem when installing any program that requires the use of Windows Installer.
Example. I'm trying to install Paint Shop Pro trial and it lets me through the installation process until the point where it begins copying files to my harddisk. Halfway through it comes up with an error:
http://picserver.student.utwente.nl/getpicture.php?id=480291
and I'm forced to exit the installation without anything having been accomplished.
I've tried downloading windows installer from the microsoft website and have installer version 2.0 which didn't work.
I've manually searched for the files that the installation was looking for and found that there's no folder called :C:/WINNT/Installer
The last program I installed was Microsoft Office 2000
If someone has had this problem and knows how to fix it, or has any suggestions they would me much appreciated.
