Sorry, but i just want to make the record clear.
I asked my question because i wanted to rip the dvd into mp3 so i could listen to it on my ipod. It wasnt for p2p's or anything illegal.

just for a future reference for your posts, instead of saying rip say "back-up" cause you are backing up what you own. also pm mods about these type of appologies they would prefer that and i believe its a rule. any way im sure they know you meant no harm and all is said and done and next time search the forums some if you had no luck with google and maybe pm some people who have given video suggestions before, just a thought to help ya =)

this could've been said in a pm to an administrator should it not? or someone who had called you a "criminal"

anywho, try using google such as "converting dvd's into mp3's, or dvd's+converting to mp3's" as your search.
