Are you using Steam?

Do you have JUST Counter-Strike, or are you using a Condition-Zero cd-key.

Please go into some detail so that we may have a better understanding of your problem.

ESF dosent work with Condition zero or source it only works with HL1 and counterstrike retail 1.6 STEAM version

i am using steam

Normaly if you buy CS 1.6 retail you get accsess to HL1 throo STEAM to so you can use that to play ESF
