It's pretty decent for paint. The heads the hardest part though.

good job, have a cookie and shut up.. this thread isnt about you, its about crazykoreans work..

i have a few hints for ypu (since doing artwork in paint sure is possible) start drawing your ideas on paper, its easier to get the ideas out of a pen than out of a mouse, once you got the whole thing on paper, recreate it with your mouse in paint

dan16 - don't post comments like that, ok?
It added nothing useful to the thread and could be seen as a flame.

Yeah, GIMP is pretty good and it's completely free. Really though, you shouldn't have to lean on the tools you use to make your artwork. If it's in you to begin with, it makes no difference what medium you use to articulate your art. Bolteh has a very valid point, learn to draw the old fashioned way first. I would take that a step further and say don't even draw DBZ or any other anime stuff to begin with. Stay away form anything that is in a particular style. Draw from life first, learn real anatomy and form, then come back and draw this stuff.

I see your point but, there is a slight difference between what you can actually produce in paint >< and what you can produce in photoshop 7 =P. All I can say is, I know its a awful program BUT you can be quite detailed with it, try actually creating gradients etc. (if you need help with this best things could could look at are 16bit > 32bit game sprites)

Only if you believe that's the best you could do. The only boundaries that exist in art are the ones you set for yourself. If you think that all you can make with Paint is sprites, then certainly that is all you will ever do.

dan16 now that was just plain retarded...

Korean, I started out by just drawing with pencil and paper, I later on learned how to lineart correctly in photoshop.(Still trying to learn how to proper color/shade, heh)

My advice is, draw something on paper, learn to lineart and color/shade it.(After learning how to color/shade =P)

If you want I can get a lineart tutorial for you =)

Here is a good idea, it actually works too. Take a sheet of paper. with PENCIL draw your drawing that you want to produce, then color over with either a black marker or a balck pen, tape it to your monitor (not the screen) and basically trace the lines. works best with tracing paper since its easier to see through. but either or works
