I really don't see a big deal to having up to a gig of space for your email.

Wow...1000mb eh? And what are you going to do with 1000mb but send e-mail? Want to send someone something over 10mb, use a FTP. Guess it would be usefull for people who are technology illiterate and don't know any transfer alternatives other than e-mail. But hey, who doesen't love google and free space anyways?
