I dont have half-life, but i do have counter-strike, and i was wondering if there was any way that i could put half-life mods on my computer and still be able to play them... do any of you know? I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could help me out..

I would just go out and buy HL it dead cheap these days, you can pick it up for about £5 / $8 (well all depends on where you get it from)

But i don't think you can run it with the CS Client... not sure though

You can run ESF with the retail version of Counter-Strike, just use the Counter-Strike folder, and make sure you have the latest patch.
