How to instal esf for playing i installed it but can play yet why is that ?

You can't play yet? What version of ESF are you using?

Start up half life, then close out of it. Try now.

Restarted Steam? Could you also tell us the directory you installed it in? You've verified that you have HL, but it could be you've put it in the wrong place.

That's weird. The way I've always installed is as follows:

1) Download HL/Download ESF.
2) Install HL. Start it up, get to the main screen. Close out of it.
3) Install ESF.
4) Play.

It's never not worked for me. Is it installed to the appropriate folder?
