How do I play by myself with just bots so I can train and practice the controls.

Create your own LAN server (create game), you can add bots by using the bot menu (default key =) and away you go. Mind you, this only works for 1.2.3, the Open Beta Final doesn't have working bots.

Well.. Bots are available in 1.3 beta final if you create your own server, but everything is still very buggy IMO..

I believe Bots crash the game in 1.3.

I tried to create a server, after I set up the settings and then it loads my server and I am at the character page I select my character the page flashes like it is going to load me into the game but then it kicks be back to the character page. What is wrong?

Can we confirm which version of ESF you're using? In the Open Beta, I believe low resolutions don't work properly.

any crash report or log in console menu when you select your character?
Is there any way for you to get into the game like spectator mode?
