How to create an esf-server?

Hi there,

I've rent a server at http://gameserver.4players.de/ , but I don't know how to install esf (or even hl) on it. Is someone out there who knows what to do?

Are you sure you rent a server from them?...I mean look where it is redirecting you...

Anyway, if you rent a server, I guess everywhere it's on Linux, so you have to configure the server to work on Linux.
Try finding some tutorials on Internet or follow the tutorial made by hlev from here.

Holy sh**! Of course I mean I've rent it on http://gameserver.4players.de/ - sorry for that one. ^^ I have no unix system. Working with xp and the tutorial by hlev explains it if you're using linux, right?

Yes. Well, for a dedicated ESF server, you must have an Half Life server bought. It will give you access to GameCP or the platform that the host is using and FTP access.
You must follow the tutorial from step nine (9) from hlev tutorial. Try using FileZilla for uploading needed files. After you followed the tutorial, you must tell your host to change from -game hl to -game esf and add this binary in server's launch: -binary ./hlds_i686
hlev already mentioned about the binary part, but I just repeated, so you understand that you can't do it, but your host.
