how do u kno how big a map should be???

yea... im a noob map maker, ive never made a map, (but im working on one) and before i work ne farther, i was wondering how big a map should be...

Add an Info_Player_Start. That will be size of player ingame.

If you have Valve Hammer Editor 3.5b you can use TazOo's .fdg and actually see the model :)

He may not know how to get models working...Copy your models (ESF models) folder into your HL>Valve folder.

If you do make it too big or small, select the whole map and hit CTRL + M. Click on the "Scale" button and then type in appropriate proportionary digits.

It takes a little time to get things to scale when you first start, and when you map on mods that use scale downs it takes a little time to adjust to that as well. Just keep practicing, and you'll eventually be able to tell how big something will generally be just by the number of units it takes up.
