What program do i use to create my own hl sky?

I don't know much on the subject of sky making, but I guess any program that can create TGA files will be sufficient.
You'd probably also want some sort of a scenery-generator too, the only one I know of is <a href="http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/">Terragen</a>.
I've never made custom skies before, so that's about all I know.

I believe any program that can save as a .tga file. You need several image files, 4 for the "walls", one for the top and one for the bottom.

Yeah I think Orion is right, they have tutorials at TheWadfather.

You can use any TARGA file with dimensions of 256x256. There are some programs (TerraGen, free of cost) that make specifically skies, but Corel's Bryce 5 (around $50 - $70 American) can be used as well.

This is what happens. I can't get rid of that white thing, it's in each corner, so, what did i do wrong? The image is completely filled, and i can't see the white thing in any drawing software.

nevermind, good ol' paint fixed it :)

Maybe you cut the image wrong so that there was a white space in between?
