You can download Half-Life off of Steam, and it'll even update automatically for you.

Why not just use STEAM. It keeps your games automaticly updated.

Last i checked the version was 1.1.1.7

If you are referring to downloading the full game Half-Life, then we can't and will not help you with that.

If you don't have Half-Life, you can buy it for less than $10 off of Steam (www.steampowered.com). Steam will automatically update Half-Life to the current version. The updates you aquire through Steam are only available through Steam and no where else.

What do you mean by "old version"? If you have a Half-Life CD then you can just install it as is, without Steam, and that can be considered the "old version".
