help with video

whenever I record a video for esf and play it, i can't see the sprite im using...is this normal?

From what I've heard, yes, it is. Apparently demos can only be recorded in software-mode quality, so beams will look flat, and some sprites will look akward, if they show up at all. Perhaps someone else can comment into further detail.
