Help with gamepads

I keep on trying to assign keys to my gamepad but it acts like the gamepad isn't even there. Please help. I tried putting it on enable joystick and everything. The joystick works on other games except games that run on Steam :cry:

uhm i think it is quite impossible playing good esf with the gamepad. but dont u have a profiler for your gamepad? a profiler has every better gamepad...

It's actually not esf but half-life rally that i'm trying to use the gamepad with. Sucks using a mouse to steer O_O

ego shooter with a gamepad? playing with mouse and keyboard is the best thing for ego shooters
