Help. Please.

Hello i am having problems with installing ESF 1.2.3.

I have downloaded it and now i am installing it. When it comes to the part where you have the change the destination, I choose browse and find my path and then I highlight Half-Life and the OK button at the bottom is still grey'd out, as though I can't click it.

If i could please get some help? Thank you.

I dont know if this helps but i am running vista.

I have looked through the How to Install thread and couldn't find anything. Please Help.

FAQ & How to Install ESF <hr style="" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message -->Before I start, please make sure you have STEAM and HALF-LIFE 1 installed.
Step 1: Make sure that you have opened Half-Life 1 at least once
Step 2: Run the installer.
Step 3: Hit I Agree
Step 4: Hit Next
Step 5: You should see Destination Folder. Make sure it says something like this. c:\program files\steam\steamapps\youraccount\half-life\
Step 6: Wait for it to install. Once it's done it should say Completed. Hit close.
Step 7: Restart Steam.
Step 8: Go to Games, double click "Earths Special Forces"
Step 9: Enjoy!

my thing says half-life:source, does that change it

You must have Half Life 1 installed, and you must have run it at least once. Just normal, original Half Life.

Well i bought half life through steam, is that source. and if so, how can i get the normal one?

You can buy Half-Life through Steam - http://store.steampowered.com/app/70/

That's the version of Half-Life that's required to play ESF.

The reason why ESF doesn't work on Half-Life: Source is because it uses a different engine than Half-Life. The Half-Life engine being what ESF was developed for.

Half Life Source uses teh same engine as Half Life 2. You need the game from 1998 ^^

No, you need Steam (and Half-Life) to be able to play ESF.
