Help Me On 2 Things

ok how do i fix this black screen here, it oonly appears when i create a game, and i usually have to go back by esc and go back in, but it messes up my mp3 player in the game and it sounds glitchy, how do i fix this.

ok now when i com[pile my map, i go and play, and my looks like hes floating in the air while standing on ground, why?

and how cna i fix it.

ok ... first ... don't try to report mapbugs of non-esf maps

first thing
that causes, because you're running in OpenGL (right ???) and added "-console" to your shortcut (right ???) (GODLIKE )
fixing isn't that easily ... I have it, too
do this everytimes you start a game and have this black box: press console twice, and druning the console is disappearing (to the top) press "Esc" then you're in HL-menu ... then click on "Resume game" and it should work

the thing with the console twice ... you only need it if you're in a mod with a menu at startup ... with only "Esc" you'll "press" cancel in the current menu


ok ... second "bug" ... this is a map bug ... and because I'm not a mapper, I can't really help you with this bug ... sry

I'm quite sure the first one is a hl bug instead of an esf bug, I have it when I start cs and tfc servers too. Only with me, it doesn't change the sounds though....

what's often worse is that I don't have it, then everything what isn't black on your screeny just isn't there, that means I can't see my Ki Transform Bar, PL, and HP, and my scouter... most of the time I just restart HL then..

and you're right ... it's a Half-Life bug, which appears in OpenGL and with "-console" in your shortcut

the half-life team really should fix that problem, and the sound cut off problem to

Ya i hate it when my game gets minimized and i get no sound... especially with the windows key... i just popped mine right off

ok well ill try that,
but i already knew to exit out and go back in, just my mp3's were glitchy when i did that,

you can exit out of the game by:

1) goto the server select screen,

2) then hold Alt and then press tab once, the res mabe fudged up but you can exit out of the game without losing your sound.





and i think i herd of something in the gaming news that they were working hard to fix that problem, but havent yet completed the fix :-\
