Help kicking people with ~ in name

How do u kick people with the consol comand in their name, they allways break the rules i set on MY server...

Type users in the console. This'll list all players and their userid. Find the id number of the player you want to kick, and type kick # userid, and they're gone.

You can also kick them by their steam ID, but make sure to include the entire ID, including the STEAM_0 part.

I still dont understand. For example someone named Private Sars joined and I was unable to kick him out. Could someone please type in an exemplary command on how to kick people using the userid?

you know the nifty thing about steam you can COPY AND PASTE!!! just copy and paste the entire name

well then your doing something wrong. i copy and paste things all the time. its how i kick people in my server. or if you want do this

kick "name of person"

kick "steam_id"

banid (minutes) "STEAM_ID" kick

simple. you go into console type "status" highlight either the steam id or the players name then right click , copy it then paste it into the text bar. this is for STEAM ONLY!
i don't even think you can play on won anymore

Look for the Player ID # (Not STEAM ID - They are too long)

Well, Um, that's sort of common sense seeing as you don't have a cursor while playing a game x.x

well yeah you can get a cursor if you use the score menu your not able to mute in cs anymore but you can still mute in hl i think that might of been what he thought you said
