Originally Half-Life was set to ship September 30, but now Vivendi Universal (Sierra's Parent Company) is now calling Half-Life 2 a "holiday title". Can you really say you are surprised? The original Half-Life, TF2, Steam, Condition Zero were all delayed. I can say that I can wait another couple months, no need for a rushed game just to meet an arbitrary release date.
Valve has not given any confirmation yet as to whether it is delayed or right on schedule, but Vivendi is in charge of publishing the game and shipping, so who knows.
