Don't get me wrong, Ge4's are nice, but they are no 9800, neutered or not.
I didn't say they were, bah.

The 9800SE won't be a major upgrade, but still worth it.

I'm not saying they're equal, but I'm also sticking by what I said before:

I've only said that the 9800SE isn't as great as the 9800/Pro.
/me throws up white flag.

What more is there to say? You're making an arguement out of nothing.
I demand that this non-argument remain an arguing point!

We're on the same page, I was only trying make this interesting. Pass the time before work, you know how it is.

What do I care I have a 9800 Pro
Radeon power!

My 3dmark score is higher then your & I use a 9600pro =P. However though, I also have to consider that your otehr system components are slower then mine =P. I remember soft modding a 9800se at a net cafe once, but I got artifacts in games. I uninstalled the softmod after that. You could try flashing the vga bios with a 9800 bios to unlock them if you really want to unlock the pipes, however it is a risky thing to do, and if not done properly, bye bye graphics card.

I'm not got going to overclock or force pipelines untill I have decent cooling near my GPU.. It's running at default settings now and still gets quite hot :)

It'd have the exact same effect as if he softmodded it.

Not exactly. If he has an older PCI video card, or knows how to do it blind, then he can just reflash the 9800 back to its original BIOS if he has it.

Meh.. It works and that's all that matters ^^
Agreed and closed.
