Gosick takes place in 1924 in a small, made-up European country of Saubure. The story centres on Kujou Kazuya, the third son of a Japanese Imperial soldier, who is a transfer student to St. Marguerite Academy, where urban legends and horror stories are all the rage. There he meets Victorique, a mysterious yet beautiful and brilliant girl who never comes to class and spends her days reading the entire content of the library or solving mysteries that even detectives can't solve. The series mostly focuses on Kazuya and Victorique getting involved in different mystery cases and their struggle to solve them, at the same time forming important bonds with different people.
Watch it. 24 episodes, and it completes. There will be NO season 2's, no OVA's, and no movies. It is a done story. So you get the full thing, which is always nice. WATCH IT, is all I can say. There is no episode that feels bad..nothing feels extra, it all fits...it tells a complete tale. Interesting characters, nice action, brilliant plot devices at times. In all honesty, this is a sleeper hit. I've never heard of it & randomly watched it.

it is MASTERFUL. The overall plot & character back story is so interesting you can't believe how much it is with how little they give you. Madhouse animated this, so you can just imagine how some scenes can be.

Will give it a shot. I've made it a habit not to underestimate anything.

You must. Trust me, the images make it look cuter than it is. It's actually a really dark series that I wasn't expecting.

Break Blade is awesome. However, the Manga is still on-going, so the anime movies made up their own ending, sadly.

I'm late to this because, well yeah, there was no hype about this. A rather new Manga author with a mildly popular manga got it turned into one amazing anime. I was browsing BakaBT and, and depressed that all the most popular ones seemed to be School life / slice of life / harem / borderline hentai series...then I saw this one "Super-natural, mystery, horror" ectera, tags, and got interested. Plus, Madhouse!

Oh yes, Fate Zero, I know, I'm a Nasu-head. I am waiting for the Blu Rays. They also have Fate/Hollow Ataraxia being closer & closer to translation. I cannot wait.(Takes place after F/SN.)

They also have Shakugan no Shana Final, Zero no Tsukaima Final is due out in January, finally conclusions to some really good series. I wish they'd now make a final FMP series. The problem is these Manga's that take forever. Also, that new Berserk OVA series was due out this year, but it didn't show up anywhere. =/

There are alot of great things coming soon, including School Days HQ finally coming to English. Had to wait forever though!

Funny part is lately they've just been using fan translations, spell-checking em, then slapping a price tag on them. The coming months are so awesome for alot of reasons.

I really recommend G-Senou no Maou if you liked Death Note alot:

Honestly it's weird they never made it into an anime; unlike most Visual Novels, you could quite easily translate it very well into an anime. It was also insanely popular, sales wise.

I mean heck^ IT has Lelouch's VA as one of the main characters. It also has one of the most misleading plots I've ever seen; which is really done well, I mean, you're constantly trying to find the suspect along with the main character. It makes you so sure you know who it is, only to show you're wrong. :p

I also recommend Swansong. It might be hard to turn into an anime; not sure, as it can get pretty bad at times, you know, human nature in the event of a huge disaster is portrayed very real...which might not go over well on a TV show.

The song is so addicting to listen to.
