Hey all.
As some of you prolly know i had been banned a while ago. Wich made me want to quit ESF for good now. (for saying the s-word)
Ive been considering to leave the ESF forums multiple times in the past, for various reasons, wich im going to explain now.
About 3 years ago, the ESF forums were lotsa fun, you could talk about whatever you want, and i had a good time with the people on esf. Back then there were like 2 or 3 major artists that were good with photoshop, and made beautifull sigs and such. Multiple people started learning this as well and in not too much time there were like 40 people that could do the same, and the number kept rising.
Lots of the peeps wanted to become mods and admins, and so it happened, there are practically too much mods and admins already, which all wanna try out their nifty little buttons and powers, wich is why the rules became more and more strict. Simply swearing or flaming wasnt a problem back then unless it was turning into a total war, instead of just saying such a word once, see what happened to me for saying it now.
Another example; I once made a sig wich contained a nude version of Ryoko from the Tenchi Muyo! series, her pussy wasnt in the image, and the tits were covered by my name, so it practically couldnt even be considered nudity. The sig got removed forcefully with the excuse of "it tempts people to go a step further".
While in the meantime, true nudity (think of mastas drawings) isnt a problem.
Many more annoying rules (no advertising, no blablabla) kinda made all forums boring exept the Artwork section. (to me, that is.)
Wich brings me back to my trendwhore talk. Most artists make a bryce render, give it thousand layers, put some lame lines on it, give it a name like "coldness" or "anger" to justify the lame render, and turn it into something "deep" or "meaningfull".
Theres a very small amount of artists that actually make interesting stuff. (TimTheEnchantor, davidskiwan.. )
Those were kinda the main reasons why I was still here.
This thread isnt here to complain or set anything straight, since im going to leave anyways.
So heres my goodbye to everyone!
