GL_upload error

[JDeezNutz]

when ever i try to make a server, during the creation, this error message comes up and closes HL?

anyone got a cure for this error?

gl_upload16: s&3

im using steam and windows xp the only thing i can think of is the new sprites i installed but i dont think they whould do it

Go to your ESF directory and see if there is a file called cached.wad in there, if there is - delete it and the problem should go away. This is a generic Half-Life problem btw, not linked to ESF.

Fishy80, look in your Halflife/ESF directory,,, there SHOULD be a file called cached.WAD, i've just deleted it, going to try and test, hope it works for you mate ^^

EDIT: deleted the cached.WAD, problem still there...

hey i found the problem its the custom sprite for the spirit bomb for me i replace just that one with my old one and it worked fine now i just gotta find out if any of my other sprites do it gl and hf

Yeah,certain custom files give that error
just replace your files one at a time so you can see which ones crash and which ones don't

Did you replace it with the original?
It's either the wad or one/several custom files which give the error

i replaced the original spirtbomb so i replaced it with another custom made spirtbomb and now it works fine? :S lol

I'm having this same problem, I even went as far as deleting all my sprites and reinstalling them. It all started when I made a sprite named dust1.spr. After that I can't use any other sprites. I deleted the dust1.spr but it still won't work.

Any ideas?
