Hey guys, just looking for advice regarding TV's for gaming. I like my older games so a good SD decoder is important- I've heard Samsung and Panasonic are both good at this. I'm leaning towards Samsung... no bigger than 42' must be 1080p.

Looking at these 40' LED LCDs

ES6700MXXY

ES6200MXXY

ES5500MXXY

Open to all manner of opinion.

Sorry to be confusing, but by SD I meant standard def. I hear there are issues with LCD/LED standard def decoders being a bit on the slow side.

Oh ok, I get you now

My last 2 TV's were perfectly fine in SD, first didn't even have HD. Like I said Samsung are very HQ tv's I would recommend them to everybody

I have a 46" Samsung tv. By far the best TV I've ever owned. And it blows nearly every other tv brand out of the water. HD is perfect and SD looks fine. Not HD obviously, but you don't get that grainy outline on your picture (Like you often see in lettering on the tv). My samsung is a 2011 and the newer ones (2012) are even better. I have to agree with Deverz on this. If you're going to go with a T.V go with samsung.

Got the 2012 Samsung LED LCD 6700 40 inch- my last TV was a 42.

I really like the picture- heaps of tweaking options. Has a "Game Mode" which seems to destroy any latency issues you might be having (in terms of picture processing, that slight delay you get through set top boxes etc)

Looks awesome as a unit too-

Actually mines a little different to that, but you get the idea.

Cheers for advice guys.
