Game of Thrones Thread [Spoilers]

So the trailer came out today for Season 4 of Game of Thrones. I am quite hyped for this season. I mean I now know, if you like the character, they will die. I enjoyed Rob as a king but the way he went out, holy shit. The "Red Wedding" was insane.

I was hoping Ned Stark would last a bit longer. I still have yet to read the books but I really need to. I feel there are small details being left out of the story in the show.

I read the first 3 or 4 books, and I'll probably never do it again. In addition to the author spending 500 pages describing a chair, the story itself just drags on and it feels like the author tries to gauge who people like most just so he can kill them in his next book.

That said, Esme Bianco was supposed to die in S1, but her body kept her alive. Unfortunately, she wants to be taken seriously and quit the show. A loss, to be sure.

I love Game of Thrones, but for me the first season was pretty much the best. I also wished to see more of Ned Stark and even Rob, he had some good character development becoming the King. I have high hopes for this season with Daenerys' advancements and a more closer connection to the "magic" in the world i.e. the red witch, white walkers, shamanism/druidism, dragons etc.

I take it this is for the TV series, so nobody be gay and spoil the book, make a separate thread for that.

The trailer for the next season is awesome, can't wait for it to start. Season 3 was pretty amazing, and I've heard that this one should be just as awesome.

Well, in the main post he's talking about Season 4, and the TV series is named Game of Thrones. A Song of Ice and Fire is the name of the whole series for the books, so I'd assume the title was more of a spoiler warning for those catching up/those who haven't had the chance to watch the series yet.

I'm kind of with Dam on this one. I'm all for people posting book spoilers, but if you do so, at least say in advance that you're going to be spoiling for the tv only viewers.
