Not true, read at www.ukdragonball.com they clearly say there were several companies dubbing DBZ. first was Pioneer, then it evolved into FUNimation was which a small company to start out. Then another company in Canada somewhere started up at Ocean studios. Overall Funimation can beat them all.

EDIT: The ocean studios Vegeta is horrible for his part now, the voice was fitting back in the saiyan /namek saga. Now that hes alot bigger and changed, that little smoker voice sounds missfitting. Goku from FUNi and Goku from Ocean sound a little different, well one from Ocean is deeper and doesnt talk as goofy. And sadly enough they use the same voice for adult Gohan as for Goku. Sounds are bad, music is worse, the dubbin all around is just terrible
out of a scale, Pioner probably dubbed DBZ a little better in some areas.

shows you were they stand even though Ocean studies is ahead of FUNimation they dont have as much votes. Pioneer quit dubbing it after Ginyu saga. thats where Ocean studios and FUNimation picked up

I dont give a **** about those votes I think ocean is good and I dont like FUNimations much.

Also, has it not come to your attention DBZ in the first place was bigger in america and happens to be one hell of alot bigger then britain in the first place? Maybe thats why all the americans would have voted and very few british people???

yes... i agree... in the entire of this forums.. i would put that the people living in the uk are about 2% of this entire community, Us stands around 50% probally more.. as you see.. theres a mighty difference and this effects the amount of votes since most of the us wouldnt of heard our dubbings... i wonder how may british are in these forums? ive only seen me and stanz at the moment ^_^

Just because FUNimation are more populour (most the reason because their in america) does not mean there the best by all peoples opinions, Ive only recently found out that ocean dubs were played other then in britain actualy...

Even if I liked the FUNimation ones I would never say Ocean were ****...I dont think its exactly easy to act out sounds and stuff for....how many episodes are there of dbz??? *Alot* of episodes.

the FUNimation version is much better! the ocean stuff sounds like an amateur production!
on FUNimation the voices fit perfectly! Vegeta's, Goku's and Gohan's (adult and especially young) are great! the music also rocks!

Alot of FUNimations acting is poor and does not fit the part atall, Ocean dub fits the characters personalitys better... Ocean Vegeta sounds alot more evil, mad and crazy... on funimation he dosn't even sound evil he just sounds like a normal person speaking voices for him.

I think I should just ignore americans opinions on Ocean and how much better FUNi is because the only thing they can remember is FUNi and they have to be so up themselves about it that they say Ocean is ****...

Okay, explanation:

• the music in the Fusion saga, especially when Buu absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo.
• i'm simply accustomed to Ocean
• Fat Buu's voice fits him perfectly

One con about Ocean is that the characters have different voices every now and then, which is quite annoying.

yeah its tru. On the dutch TV all episodes from RAdditz to the Arrivel of Future trunks are from FUNI.
From there till the end of DBZ is from Ocean.
I liked the FUNI eps better. Had better music,better voice actors and belief it or not. Ocean has more cencurring(sp?) then FUNI.
So FUNI = win
Ocean = loose

The Funi music is much better. I prefer funi dubs, too, although WHY DID the ESF team switch final flash sounds? WTF? THATS SO DUMB! He sounds like he's unenthuiastic about firing a FF now.

Look for the Funi episode of "Meet Vegito" I like the voices/music in that one.
