FUNi or Ocean?

I took a clip of 2 versions of vegeta's Final Flash vs cell.

Tell me which one you prefer and please leave some messages about what you think is good about each etc.

Just incase you dont know:
Ocean = British Voice Actors
FUNi = American Voice Actors

Ocean Dub
FUNi Dub

I've always prefered the Ocean ones and it has nothing to do with the fact im british

Well the the First episodes that came to the USA where the Ocean ones they skipped the 15 between Radditz and when the Saiyajins arrive. In 1998 Funi in Texas got the episodes they came back online. So thats why the americans are off by 20 episodes. You can tell they trasnfered because look at where Before Goku Fight Burtur and jiece then after when they start fighting the voices sound way different. lol Yep thats the old Krillen voice and Vegeta. I prefer the Funi vocies they sound more deeper.

I think trunks voice actor has a deeper voice on ocean actualy, krillin is much more suited on ocean because it suits him being the funny character with that sortof voice lol.

Dont call Ocean **** SSJ2GoGeta they would sound good if you heard alot more rather then just one clip.

I only just noticed that MSN thing lol atleast its not quite in teh way of someone talking or something I cant be arsed to record it again lol.

Yea, Ryudo Geohound I didnt know about that thats intresting, anyway we had some **** like that happen voices kept changing all the time it was damn weird, they must have changed to different voices and back again about 3 times in the frieza saga i swear lol. maybe they were still ocean actors or maybe they had to use the FUNi ones then or something, I didnt know what they sounded like then so im not sure, but maybe we had some episodes done in FUNi aswell, I thought they wernt as well done as the originals tho.

Ive added another short clip so you americans can get a better idea of what the ocean clips sound like, If i have accidently got it confused with a Funi clip im sorry because when I saw it on TV the voices had just changed again and I had lost track...

Bleh. Funi's is much better and the sounds are much more professional. In Ocean's Trunks sounds older than Vegeta. Bleh bleh. And yea Krillin and Vegeta's voice sound like from the Saiyan saga.

I cant remember when it was but one of the gohan actors sounded TERRIBLE in FUNi. It just took the piss to have that actor play his part.

Anyway, Ive edited the post avove so re-read it, you both posted when i was editing it.

SSJ2GoGeta, Thats your opinion, I think oceans better and theres no need to call Ocean crap because your just saying that because you think its not quite as well done as FUNi's. I think the music Ocean put on there fits in better most of the time aswell.

Ok right. Ive watched both , im british, yet i like the funimation dub.
why? well the voices sound more fitting, plus if you listen to them when they make there "power up groaning sounds" , oceans sound like some guys messing around making straining noises, it sounds kinda fake.
But yeah i do kinda like Oceans music better, but then again Funimations music fits the show better imo.

So i guess i like Funimation

Hmmmmm......that's a tough one. The Ocean clip doesn't sound too bad, i miss krillien's old voice. I always prefered Vegita's Ocean voice. Too me Ocean's Goku and Funi's Goku sound almost the same.

I think Ocean and Funi uses some of the same voices. Like the King Kai voice is the same for both and The voice of King Kai is the voice for Goku in Funi so maybe thats why.

I think funi's voices are much better than ocean's, but as cookster said, the original japanese ones are still the best.

IMO, a mix of both would be best, Brian Drummond is much superior as a voice actor, but his Final Flash had no edge compared to the Funi one. Sad, because his Gallit Gun sounded like armaggedon was coming, lol. Oh well, original Krillin pwns Funi Krillin. See my catch 22?

Where vegeta says final flash in FUNi though its got some voice distorter and its not the real voice.

I agree the ocean vegeta is better because he just sounds more evil and crazy, He has this pyschopathic laugh sometimes lol

Where as them both using the same voice, Im guessing both had a small agreement and worked together in a way...

(Im guessing because theres proboboly 3x as many americans on here..)

I forgot to also say, Ocean Frieza sounds like a women with a ****ed up voice, Ive always thought that frieza was a female =|

Also, In the uk version I remember gokus voice changing alot more then anyone elses, it was kind of annoying as I prefered one of them and was annoyed when it changed.

Yeah i like the Ocean Vegeta cause when i first started to watch DBZ in 1997 i got used to the fight between Goku and Vegeta. Vegeta sounded like he was going to go insane when he fired his Gallit Gun. Goku voice sounded kind of squeaky though. Krillens voice was so funny though it matched him well. Yeah i think both companies share the voice actors cause i was listening to the Canadian episodes and they sound the same as Funi and Ocean but some where different.

ah-hah! so that's why the music and voices sound different in ESF, compared to what's on tv here! the voices from esf are from funimation, and the voices on tv are from ocean!

I dont think all of them are, Ive heard some clips on esf that I heard in the ocean series

I believe its a mix.
