The maps are nice, very nice, I like the namek one most... and yeah Maistro's suggestion is a very good one ;)
About Steam, peple who say it's junk, means they haven't test it or something. Just use the damn thing, it's much better than won

Masta is mistaken, 24 bit textures should work on steam AND won.

Yes, yes, nice maps and all. Now stop teasing us and release 1.2 already!!

By the way, why is Gero named like that? Is it based on the terrain around Dr Gero's hidden lab?

Yes... I also think someone made an alpha 2.0 Gero map. Had snake way on top of it XD

Now.... that makes me wonder if there is an entrance to his lab :D

Maps look a bit similar IMO... and kinda small...
look, considering the models are usually a bit smaller than the size of the trees, i'd say its big enough.

Looking at this picture again, I was just wondering if you would enclose the water (instead of it hitting the skybox). This is because it looks crap when you look at it from underwater (like in esf_namek).

Well in real life, things are made up of particles. It's exacly like that, in a game, basically if you hit a type of material, or say you use a certain type of attack (say a fire attack) the particles that will come out of the ground will pertain to the type of attack or type of terrain. So if you shoot a fire attack at grass, you'll get flames or if you shoot a beam at a cliff little tiny rocks will fly out.

Except you can't get burning grass to work in 1.2 unless Joe decides to put in a new entity that bursts into flames when beams hit.

I like teh 24-bit texture maps :D
Now all I have to do is run ESF in 32-bit and then those maps will be teh WIN! (Hopefully)

They overall look very nice, but I have to really criticize the water in the Gero map....it looks sort of bad to just have it cut off at the skybox. I wish I knew a way to fix that but I haven't been mapping for an eternity
