Try making the lines less thick, add more detail and get the lines the curve properly instead of curve using 10 straight lines with different angles.

Doesn't matter how long it took you. It doesn't look 'good', there are too many flaws in it. While you added very thick lines in order to create it faster, it doesn't look 'HD'. The original image looks far more detailed, and the exact purpose of having an HD image is for it to have more details than the original.

Don't get me wrong though, I applaud that you take the effort to try making a small image look nice and all HD-ish. You just need to put more time into it (work on it for like half an hour a day, for like..a week, I don't know) and it will look much nicer. And trust me, you'll be a lot more proud of it than you are now.
