Is it possible for you to use javascript to where a little pop up thingy (usually has OK as the only option) says what you shouldn't post briefly (Like "No singleplayer or fusion, EVER").

actually it aint all that hard, when they click on new thread have it pop up and say something along the lines of "Remember, no fusions and singleplayer as they have been ruled out". Even if half the people read it thats still half as many useless thread around. I think it would be worth it.

BTW Culex, i like your sig and your avatar (dan owns you all ;))

Are you trying to put us out of work!? The moderators need something to do, after all. A java pop-up would be pretty effective, but I think we'd be better just putting up a sticky that said "BETA 1.2 RELEASE DATE HERE" and just throw rules inside of it about each of those things.

What I mean by "barely listen to search" is that they aren't the brightest bulbs of the pack. You tell them not to do something, and then they do it. You also gotta stop being so serious, half of the forum would have understood what I meant when I said "listen" instead of "read"

If they can't look at the topics with stickies, make them listen with the java pop up.

And I am not the one named SSJ Rene, now am I?

Mod are more effective then using Java Pop up.
Maybe in the views of some people Java pop ups may be effective to some degree, but some will find it very annoying, with already the large amount of spam pop ups they everyone gets once they log onto the net.

True we have a very large amount of retards, oops i mean new people on the forums that don't pay attention, or read the posts and just post random quotes/spam just to increase there post count. But this is one thing a forum will never be able to get rid off, Forum newbies are what make forums fun, because we get to take the piss out of them all the time and read there stupid posts and think.. why didn't he use the search button like everyone else... its just what is expected by these school children or stupid adults.

Don't forget . . . the new thread/post dialouge doesn't discriminate based on were the finished product goes. So you would be killing that popup every time you post, Newbie and Veteran alike.

Perhaps if there was an option in preferences to turn it off?

EDIT: Thought of something even more godlike. Just make a PM bot that messages new users what the rules are an enforce pop up when PM rules.
