Final Fantasy X-2

I finally got my ps2 and FFx-2 today and ive been playing it for about an hour. I say it pwns, but i wanna know what you have to say about it.

In my opinion all FINAL FANTASIES after 8 suck, cept 11

True the quality of the final fantasy series has started going downhill since after #8.#7 course was the first 3d final fantasy and set the standard for rpg game play while #8 raised the bar on the Cinema scenes. 9 was a complete failure in my opinion. Going back to the super deformed looked that made the game hard to look at and a bad story. Then there came #10. This could have been a amazing game that would have been at the level of 7 and 8. The game set a standard for graphics and had a great story,but poor polishing killed this one. I have yet to find someone who prefers the sphere grid to good old leveling up. The sphere grid,the custimizing of weapons,and the building up of aeons abilities were all sloppy feeling and hard to master till near the end of the game.The big thing that ruined this game for me was it was far too easy.Also the absence of a card game was there,but i did enjoy the blitz ball game. Then the first true sequel emerged. I own the game and have beaten it,it is indeed a fun game,but i think it took the wrong direction.The fans wanted more of the FFx story so square tried to give it to them. Making the main characters all girls and only having three players to choose from were big mistakes.The return of Exp is well noted,the dressphere system is amazing,the biggest gap is the lack of equiping new weapons and armor,although you can get new acceserioes.Square made all these changes and added these new character saying they didnt want to new game to be to familiar to the first,but that was what the fans wanted and square didnt deliever.

I find X-2 to be quite different from what's been happening to Final Fantasies as of late. As far as I'm concerned, they've been getting easier and easier, but this one reinstates the use of an active battle system which brings battles to a more challenging level, something that's been missing from Final Fantasy games as of late. You would normally get people saying "I pwned Ultimecia and Yevon in 1 minute!", but put them up against a behemoth in FF4, and they falter. I am pleased that they are using older concepts like the job system and active battle to up the anty in-game, but I'm finding it a bit too cheerful for my liking. Where's the typical post-apocalyptic world with the depressed protagonist? Either way, I have high-hopes for the rest of the game as I watch my bro progress through it. ^_^

In my opinion Final Fantasy 8 sucks. >:|
Final Fantasy X/X-2 isn't all that bad, the only thing that sets it apart from
all the other Final Fantasy Games is that its not just based on saving the
world anymore, its based on love, and at some point I like all that romantic
stuff. A game needs to be as long as it needs to be, Final Fantasy X was
good storyline wise, Gameplay was simple as hell but its not like it wasn't
any easier than using Materia.

Also, I have this little theory about how Final Fantasy X-2 could be some
what of a prequal/side-story to Final Fantasy VII. I'd probably say it but
it would involve major spoilers. Also I beat the game like 3 times now, I
got the good ending as well, im not going for the perfect ending cause
many people seem to say its just the good ending with new scenes and
whatnot. Im too fricken lazy.

Anyways, I'm on the beginning of chapter three and the only thing I don't like about it is you can't change the view of the camera. It makes it hard to walk at moments. Also, unless there is some thing I haven't done, I don't like how you can't change weapons
