i know this is really a mapping related question, but i know that none of the people there could answer this. So i aim this question at the esf team:
is there a way to clip env_models in maps, so that they are solid ingame without changing the coding of esf?

You mean like trees and other obsticles???
Ive seen that done in a map called Ausie_Outback.
So there is a way yes. But i dont know it. Maybe dl that map and take a look at it with a maping program and see what was done to it to make the trees and bushes in it solid.

Yes, it can be done, use the clip texture and form a solid in the shape of the model around the env_model, this can easily be done using my esf.fgd (posted in the MAPPING section) and 3.5b of VHE so you can see the models in the editor.
